Billy D had a great day today in Predazzo, Italy. Fighting rain in both the jumping and XC he finished 2nd overall behind Ronny Ackermann. Johnny finished 19th overall. Both guys didn't jump as well as they had been in training and were disappointed with their jumping results. However, even with sub par jumping, they were not too far out. The XCrace was a hard 6 lap 15km which Bill and Johnny tore up finishing with fastest and third fastest times respectively.
The Sprint competition in Predazzo was as exciting as the individual. Bill and Johnny jumped to 25th and 27th respectively 1:10 out of first. Since it was a Hurricane Sprint their times were converted to distance back from the start. They raced 5 times around a 1.5km loop and at the end Bill was 7th, 10 seconds from first and Johnny 11th. They were both within 15 seconds of first heading into the last lap but couldn't quite get up to the leaders. Bill is now 2nd in the overall and Johnny is 14th.
We are heading to Klingenthal for some training and to get ready for the next competitions this weekend.
On the WCB side, Eric Camerota finished 10th overall in an individual competition in Liberec, Czech. Bryan Fletcher also scored points finishing 29th. In the Sprint Competition, four guys scored points, Eric 9th, Bryan 19th, Brett 26th, and Alex Glueck 30th were all in the top 30.
